Why hire a private chef?Hiring a private chef offers the ultimate convenience, personalized menus, and gourmet restaurant-quality meals in the comfort of your own space. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just want to relax during your vacation, a private chef elevates your dining experience with zero stress or cleanup. Group Size Private chefs are ideal for small groups (from 2 to 20) and can create an intimate experience even better than a restaurant. Customizability If a client wants to recreate a first date meal, has a peanut allergy, or wants an American BBQ spread, they can customize every aspect of their experience until it's perfect. Affordability Because of the unique business model, an in-home chef can create a higher-value meal with a significantly better margin and lower price than a restaurant or caterer. Experience With a private chef, clients never have to leave their home. We take care of shopping, prep, transportation, service, and clean-up.

How does your private chef service work?After submitting a quick form on our bookings page, you'll receive sample menus for your event within 24 hours. You'll be able to fine-tune your menu before finalizing your service and processing payment. On service day, the chef will travel to your venue and execute your meal. Service includes ingredients, prep, transportation, cooking, plating, service, and clean-up.

How much does it cost to hire a private chef?Custom menus can be tailored to meet any budget. Basic service starts at just $99 per person, all-inclusive. For menu items including filet mignon, lobster-tails, and caviar, we offer Premium and Exclusive menus, which also include additional courses. Any special touches like custom cakes, wines, or dishware can simply be added to the service charge. See our price tiers here.

How far in advance should I book a private chef or catering service?We recommend booking as early as possible—especially during peak seasons like ski holidays and summer events. Ideally, clients should book 2–4 weeks in advance, but we may accommodate last-minute requests based on availability.

I am a meeting or event planner. Can you provide meals for our retreat or event?Yes! Private chef services are a great way to enjoy world-class dining at your corporate event. Your executives can enjoy tailored menus centered around wellness, local dining, plant-based, or other preferences. What is included in your ski vacation dining packages?Our ski vacation packages are all-inclusive and designed for multi-day stays. They include daily breakfast, après-ski snacks, gourmet dinners, grocery shopping, menu planning, and full kitchen clean-up. It’s a turn-key dining experience tailored to your group's preferences.

What areas do you serve?Red Rock Chef is based in Park City, Utah, and proudly serves surrounding areas including Salt Lake City, Promontory Club, Deer Valley, and other nearby communities.

What kind of events can I book?Typically, a private chef provides a restaurant-quality meal prepared in the comfort of your own home. These services are also ideal for vacation rentals and venues equipped with kitchens and dining spaces. Catering with a private chef service is designed for groups smaller than 20 individuals. Can you provide drinks for the dinner or event?Absolutely. We can provide a variety of beverage options for your dinner or event, including wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic selections. Let us know your preferences and we’ll craft a beverage menu to elevate the full dining experience.

Do you offer cooking classes?Yes! We offer hands-on cooking classes for individuals, couples, or groups. These can be hosted in your home, vacation rental, or at your business and are customized based on your interests—great for team-building, celebrations, or simply learning new skills.
